Just been and bought some 3 in 1 oil (yes i did say buy) and cleaned and oiled all my reels ready for the coming warmer weather, I have to admit that they feel a lot better than they have done for a few years. Normally they just get a good spraying with WD40 and I have always thought that was good enough but it seems I was wrong, the reels are running a lot smoother and the bail arm trip is not banging shut as before its more of a controled closing. Or maybe Im talking a load of bollocks but at least i did enjoy getting my hands on my fishing tackle again.

Any one else started preparing for the coming season?

Cheers

Dave, Anton could do with some of that oil on his old joints to get him ready for the upcoming seaon, not me though, I'm like a well oiled spring, always ready.

Grandad knows best.

My tackle is covered in cobwebs at the moment, might start taking a look at it towards the end of february. To think i fished all last winter and the winter before that, and the winter before that, ect. Its nice to sit at the side of a warm fire, now where's them slippers and my cup of coco

Plenty to choose from there but I'll take this one for a juvenile cheesy smile

Buying oil Dave? Missing Stores eh? That used to be the thing aboutthe closed season, getting all the gear out for a good clean and service before the big day.

Sounds also like Gary is doing plenty of planning for our up coming fishing trips. Can't wait to see what he has in store, after all, he's been planning it for over a year now!

Watcha got geezer?

Ive no idea what you mean about missing stores, I hope your not thinking that I used to "borrow" the odd item or two, I have to admit though that the bin bags that I now have to buy from tesco are crap could do with another box of bin bags one day if your passing stores.

cheers
